Join the Licking County Library for the its 4th Annual Cruise-In on May 5th from 6 – 9 PM in the parking lot of the Main Library. The event is free and open to the public. Poppy’s Roadside Diner is available that evening for those wanting dinner while walking around the car show.
Newark, Ohio—Licking County Library (LCL) is officially fine free. That means no penalties for patrons who are late returning books, movies or any materials—no matter if it is a few days or a few weeks. The Library’s goal is to remove the barriers to its resources and services while continuing its mission of serving a community of life-long learners.
April is Autism Awareness Month! During the month of April, the main Library will showcase artwork produce by children and teens on the autism spectrum. The Learning Spectrum (Newark) students and My Place To Be members would appreciate customers sharing supportive feedback of the artwork using the comment form provided.

Book lovers are in for a treat on Saturday, April 8th. Local authors and illustrators representing fiction, nonfiction, local history, teen and children’s books will be available on all three levels of the Main Library. Authors will have copies of their works available for purchasing and signing. This is a wonderful opportunity to support local authors and to provide a venue where you, our local readers, can connect with them. Be sure to stop by between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
