Computers and Printing
Access the internet, search for jobs, make copies or utilize the Wi-Fi at any library location. All transactions referenced below must be completed 15 minutes before closing.
Remote Printing
Print documents using your smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. Print jobs can be submitted one of three ways - via email, web upload or by using the mobile app, print fees apply. For privacy reasons, print jobs are deleted daily at closing. Choose your pickup location then follow the easy-to-use site to submit your documents.
Assistive Technology
LCL has an Assistive Technology Computer available for use at our Downtown Newark location. This computer has a specialized assistive mouse, keyboard and various accessibility software to help patrons with vision and/or reading disabilities. The computer is located on an adjustable desk that offers various heights for a patron’s needs.
The computer is installed with JAWS and ZoomText Magnifier/Reader. JAWS (Job Access with Speech) is a screen reader software program for computer users of Microsoft Windows that enables a blind or visually impaired user to read the text that is displayed on the computer screen with speech output and/or on braille display. Easily navigate the screen content with a mouse.
ZoomText Magnifier/Reader is a fully integrated magnification and reading program tailored for low-vision users. Magnifier/Reader enlarges and enhances everything on your computer screen.
Large print computer keyboards and adaptive mice can be checked out for use while in the Library.
Fax
All LCL locations offer a self-serve fax machine. Faxing is $1.00 per job—up to 10 pages per job. Please note: The Library cannot receive faxes.
Additional Services
Each location has available computers, Wi-Fi and the ability to scan for free. Mobile hotspots can be reserved or checked out. There is a small fee for prints and copies beginning at $0.15 per page.
